PADSKINZ! PadSkinz are sheets of a very thin leather-like material with a special adhesive backing that looks very similar to jenpro (goal pad / glove material), to be used on your leg pads, blocker or glove to change the colour of accents, stripes or areas of your goal equipment where you want the colour changed.

We only use PREMIUM products in the construction of PadSkinz, this unique “MADE IN CANADA” product. PadSkinz are currently used by many NHL, AHL, ECHL, etc teams.

PadSkinz are the thinnest, lightest, most flexible and easy to use product on the market! The last thing you want is a product that is going to add weight to your equipment and slow you down by a half second or more. As we all know, a half a second can make a huge difference when it comes to saving the puck!

PadSkinz come in many colours! We carry almost every pro hockey colour available, and more. We have 35 different colours to choose from.

Don’t forget, PadSkinz are great for repairs as well! Have a hole on the inside of your boot from so many butterfly slides? Got a skate cut on your blocker or glove? Fix them with PadSkinz! Simply cut and place PadSkinz over the cut or hole and no one will be able to tell. 

In general, you should expect to get approx 2-3 seasons of play. This is a general assumption though. It really depends how often you play and how much the PadSkinz material rubs on the ice. The special adhesive we use will latch onto your pads so they don’t curl or peel. However, it’s a flexible adhesive that will bend and stretch, as your pad does. The best part is that PadSkinz are NOT permanent. They can be removed but it will require time and effort to remove fully. Remember, you’re not buying the product so that it will come off easily, you’re buying it because it stays on. Going through the removal process however, will allow you to return the equipment to its original colours or apply new PadSkinz colours.

PadSkinz are NOT like duct tape or vinyl dye. These 2 “options” are not good options for several reasons. Regarding vinyl dye colour change, it’s a permanent solution. What if you want to change it to another colour? What if you get some dye on another part of the pad by accident, like nylon? Dyes will run after they get wet and will look horrible after a few uses. When speaking about duct tape for colour changes , the common complaint about it is that it looks like a sticker! It’s very shiny and looks nothing like jenpro (goal pad / glove material). Also, the duct tape adhesive can damage your pads and duct tape will peel off and curl up at the ends, unlike PadSkinz. Our premium PadSkinz look likeREAL GOAL PAD MATERIAL and while they stay stuck like glue to your pad, are completely removable, allowing you to return to your stock setup or to put on new PadSkinz colours

What size to get?

A: This is a tough one because everyone is looking to do something unique. We generally say that a Small PadSkinz sheet will be enough to do small to average changes to a pair of pads or a set of gloves. A Big PadSkinz sheet is generally enough to do larger changes to both pads or small to average size changes to both gloves and pads.   Decide on what changes you want to make to your gear, then grab a small sheet or a large sheet!
