- DLC is a PVD, Physical Vapor Deposition, coating treatment by which the blade is electrically charged with varying gasses to alter the chemical composition of the surface, allowing a 20% increase in surface strength when compared to its predecessor
- The hardened steel surface is less susceptible to be stripped by debris in stride, allowing the blade to hold a longer edge without adding additional weight
- Our DLC process results in a black, sleek finish, and comes standard in all custom skates
