Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating for improved edge retention, reduced friction, and corrosion resistance, the Max offers enhanced strength and extra height for deeper turning. 

  • Height and Profile: The True Shift Max DLC is designed to be taller than the previous Shift DLC, giving players a better lean angle for sharper, deeper turns.
  • Holder Compatibility: Shift Max DLC is designed specifically for the Shift Max holder (which often has a slight notch or different securing mechanism), whereas standard Shift DLC fits the original, non-Max Shift holder.
  • Performance: Both feature DLC to harden the surface and resist nicks and chips, but the Max is often cited as offering 20% stronger edges and better overall longevity.
  • Weight: Shift Max blades feature redesigned cutouts to reduce overall weight.
