CCM Axis F9 Goalie Mask - built to offer goalies a more budget-friendly mask, without compromising protection or its comfortable, easily-adjustable fit. Redesigned from CCM's Axis 1.9 mask, the F9 senior goalie mask is lined with a dense, closed cell foam to help repel moisture, complemented by its aggressive AER-TEC venting.

Shell Construction

Reshaped, Fiberglass Exoshell: Compared to the previous Axis 1.9 mask, the Axis F9 mask's Exoshell offers excellent protection with its lightweight, yet resilient fiberglass composition. Debuting a striking, more modern appearance, the F9 mask's shell not only offers improved ventilation, but features aggressive deflection points to further protect the goalie and help fire mask-contacts into the corners.

AER-TEC Ventilation System: CCM’s AER-TEC Ventilation System is an engineered system that combines several of the Axis F9 goalie mask's heat and moisture-management features. The F9 mask's aggressive ventilation allows excess heat to easily escape through the top of the shell, promoting cool air-flow in and around the mask's moisture-resistant liner. To keep sweat out of the eyes, CCM's AER-TEC sweatband is included and is easily replaceable with Velcro® attachment.

Padding

High-density VN Padding: Padding the Axis F9 mask, a high-density layer of Vinyl Nitrile foam works to absorb the puck's impact. VN foams are frequently used to pad player helmets and goalie masks, for its squishy, closed-cell composition that offers a more form-fit feel, and excellent impact protection.

I.Q. Shion Dri Foam Lining: Familiar to fans of CCM's highly protective and comfortable player helmets, the F9 goalie mask's VN padding is faced with a dense, moisture-resistant foam, I.Q. Shion. Unique in its plush, memory foam-like feel and resistance to accumulating moisture, the F9 mask's I.Q. Shion inner lining helps the mask stay cool and comfortable.

D3O® Smart Material Forehead and Temple Layering: D3O® Smart Material's unique molecular structure makes it strain-rate sensitive, meaning the stronger the impact, the more the molecules lock together, further helping to absorb and dissipate impact energies. Offering a unique balance between flexibility and impact protection, D3O® Smart Material's strain-sensitive composition remains soft and pliable at rest.

Tri-density Chin Cup w/ D3O® Smart Material: The Axis F9 goalie mask's featured chin cup is padded with varying density impact foams and D3O® Smart Material, working in combination to soften and decelerate any shock to the chin.
