Shadow is proud to introduce to the world the new Surface pedal. Designed with performance and function in mind, the idea of the new Surface pedal came from wanting a wider and longer pedal that offered a much slimmer platform while still retaining excellent grip. Utilizing key design points from our tried and true Ravager pedal, the Surface pedal is the next step in Shadow’s constant evolution.

Our first goal when creating the new Surface pedal was to maximize grip. Using an advanced, new micro knurling pattern as well as a unique logo placement, the Surface pedal body gives similar foot movement found on skateboard grip tape. With a wider body and twelve, 3.5mm high pins placed in key points around the pedal, you won’t find another pedal that offers this much grip in such a low profile design.

The reason for creating a low profile pedal body is simple, stiffness. By maximizing pedal material where you need it and removing it where you don’t, the Surface pedal is able to be stiffer and stronger than most traditional, plastic BMX pedals while still having the concave feel that those style of pedals offer. Combined with a full length, 4140 chromoly broached spindle, you can be sure that the Surface pedal won’t bend when or break during big drops or bails. Pedal grinding your thing? The Surface pedal uses our proprietary nylon composite material found on the classic Ravager pedal that will keep you sliding forever!
